French Corner in Houston

I Just had lunch at this fantastic restaurant. Lemon chicken- the food and service was excellent 😍 - highly recommend.

These people are the tops! I called last minute (Saturday morning for Sunday lunch) for support with a graduation luncheon that was growing rapidly in numbers. They were kind and very helpful. I ordered Chicken Florentine with pasta (delicious!) as an entree and quesadillas (fabulous) as appetizers and my guests raved over all of it. Thank you French Corner!

Without question, one of the best! Go once, and you will become a regular!

HiI have frequented the French corner at the UT School of Nursing for about 3 years. The service there is great, with helpful and friendly employees but the food was, well, servicable. For the last several months I went there if I did not have time to walk to a different place where I could have a more interesting menu. However, in the last month or so the menus has changed for the BETTER! The food is tasty, taking old favorites like chicken and makes them new. The chicken leg with yellow sauce is wonderful (even if I don’t know what it is really called). Today we had pulled pork with pickled onions. The pork was tender, juicy and sweet. The pickled onions had just the right amount of zing. I look forward to trying these dishes again.Best Regards, Susan

Our company used to be around the corner and most of our senior management dined there several times a week. I miss their excellent food, upscale atmosphere, and great customer service. I highly recommend you drop in for a very pleasant surprise. Great place to take a client for a good lunch meeting. They also have a good wine selection. Catering is excellent.

I showed up (my first time) and was curious to see what desserts they had to offer. I was greeted by a very nice woman who helped me right away but she just said they didn't have anything ready yet. She said it would be ready "a little later." I don't even know if they have a menu she could have given me but I wasn't offered one. I am not sure if there are other locations but this one is on Old Spanish Trail and Kirby. I'm in the Medical Center a lot so my last question to her was, "so at what time do y'all have the desserts on display?" She said there is no set time, some days later, other days earlier. I made no sense of anything. I'm not sure if I I'll return anytime soon.

Excellent food and service! The general manager, Mr. George Haddad, was exceptional in ensuring that my experience in his restaurant was excellent. If you want to treat yourself to a nice meal in a French bistro, then the "French Quarter" is the place to eat.

Clean restaurant and friendly service. Great salads and desserts. Sandwichs good. Food okay. The name is deceiving--nothing about this restaurant is french except the macaroons and a couple of other finger desserts. Beware of the invitating desserts at the entry way, only the chocolate cake can be cut. The others must be purchased whole.

Not only is the food amazing the presentation is top quality and the people are amazing!! George and his team never disappoint and I’m grateful to have the ability to use them for any event no matter how large or small!!! I ordered the chicken / shrimp kabobs and they were Amazing!! The cheesecake was oh my goodness good! If you’re looking for top notch catering with a personal family flare then French corner is definitely the go to for catering!!

Spectacular Food and Great Service.... Everything I have tried is Delicious

This French gem is hidden behind and between numerous places off main street and old Spanish trail. It's a little awkward to find but WELL WORTH it. Open during the week.only as main revenue is catering. Everything made from scratch and authentic. International variety of catering options. So much goes on behind this hidden bldy. Nice lunch and dinner menus. Be mindful of time as generally closes at 5 PM. They have a Jazz night, heard good things, but have never attended. Stopped by bakery approx 6 choices, very didappointed.

I just wanted to acknowledge your amazing servers, Marco and Isabel. They did amazing job with presentation of the meals at a recent conference I attended. Not only was the presentation was amazing so were the genuine SMILES. Both of your servers, went above and beyond to accommodate the needs of hundreds at the conference from getting lids, locating items and just being outstanding . As for the food it was delicious.

I used The French Corner for the first time this week and was absolutely blown away with the fresh food, friendly service and amazing delivery time. These people are the real deal. Not only do they have great tasting food, but wonderful hearts to match. "They have the best salad dressings...yum!!

Love the chicken salad akways fresh

I have had the pleasure several times of dining here as well as receiving catering orders. My favorite thing to dine in on is their tortellini salad. It's multi colored delicious. A must when you dine in. For catering we've done everything from breakfast tacos, sandwiches, salads, quiche, desserts. It's all been fabulous. The service is top notch from start to finish. I love their ordering system/confirmation process. It just works. They have always met my deadlines/delivery times with a smile. I also love their chocolate croissants. George always does an amazing job taking care of me both in house and for my company.

The food was very delicious but the service from our waitress was slow. The place was empty and it took her 10 mins to bring one coffee. Our food came out very hot and fresh. We recommend the Houston omelette.

Lots of room here to dine and the staff is very friendly. Tried the chicken and mushrooms for lunch along with a little dessert from their pastry case.

I love The French Corner restaurant. It reminds me so much of France. Food is amazing, they offer a variety of authentic french pastries among other treats,love the decor and most waiters are from France so you got to experience the French hospitality.

Food was good, price was typical for two people at lunch. Service however needed improvement. When our food came out we had to ask for silverware. I had to flag down our waitress several times to get a drink refill. Service was overall generally slow and there was only a few other tables of customers. I will give them another shot because hopefully the waitress was just having a bad day.

Hands down the BEST caterer I have ever used. I called the French Corner under short notice for a big business meeting at my firm and they exceeded my expectations. The food quality was amazing, the service was superb, and George Haddad, the general manager, was so helpful and available to fufill all of my requests. Thank you again!

The tuna sandwich was great! And they brought several desserts for my colleague's birthday because I didn't want something she might not like, but carrot cake (the initial option) is her favorite! Our waitress was okay.

The Houstonian Omelet was splendid. Even the toast was perfectly done. Angela enjoyed the chicken with wild rice and mushroom sauce. The French Corner Manager, Chef, and waitstaff were all courteous, attentive and quite friendly. We selected a variety of their beautiful pastries to enjoy at home. We will be back when next in the area.

Have eaten here many, many times and have tried many items on their menu. This past week we had a great sandwich, on a fresh and tasty roll, and they used sliced cucumber instead of lettuce. It was delicious and the cucumber made it special. Today, we tried George's PoBoy, and it was great. The special dressing and the pickles were the perfect touch. Give these sandwiches a try - you'll be glad you did.

Based on the Google reviews, this place just does catering. Don't let that stop you. I ordered a cafe latte and a blueberry danish. Supreme is the best word to describe this place. The hostess was really nice. The atmosphere exquisite and they even have a piano. Look, a heart in my latte on Valentines...isn't that just the sweetest?

I have been utilizing the French Corner for all my catering needs for over 5 years. They have always performed as promised. Never Late. Food presentation, quality products and taste cannot be beat.

Stopped in for breakfast and was amazed by the hospitality and the quality of the food. I was walking in the area looking for a place to eat breakfast, since I was staying at a hotel close by. A very pleasant surprise to discover The French Corner, and will definitely return.

So i really enjoy the chicken salad sandwich, its sooo good, the French Corner caters my college and i just had my second chicken salad sandwich from them and i really hurt my tooth from a chunk of hard plastic in it? Im really surprised. Im kinda scared to eat more now. Im sad cuz they taste soo good! :(
